There are certain types of Equipment which is exempt from the National High Risk Work Licence and as such, the operator is not required to hold a High Risk Licence or a Certificate of Competency.
Even though the Licence requirement has been removed for Load Shifting Equipment, there is still a requirement for operators of Front End Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, Skid-Steer Loaders etc to provide evidence of competency and training.
Our Blue Card program for Load Shifting is based upon the requirements for the old National Certificate of Competency. Our assessors conduct the assessment in the same manner as they did when Assessing for the old Certificates of Competency (simply put, a person being assessed as competent prior to 1 July 2011 would have been issued with a National Certificate of Competency) Classes:

The new WHS Legislation requires Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking [PCBU]s to ensure health and safety at work, which includes the provision of training – the training must be relevant to the workplace.
Our programs are tailored to the specific workplace and provides evidence that can be kept in documentary form as required under the new legislation that came in force on 1 January 2012.
